What are the sounds of Thanksgiving?
Many years ago, when the month of November came around it was a precursor to the “sounds” of the Christmas.
Since the beginning of January 2020, the sounds of Thanksgiving for 2021 has taken on sounds all of their own. The first sound is the anticipation of family and friends coming together no matter the challenge after so many
months of isolation. The distance nor the cost can stand in the way. Anticipation takes on a sound that actually “tingles”. A person may “feel” as though they might be shivering. However, it is not a feeling it is a sound.
This is a reminder that there are invisible sounds. A dog can hear sounds that most humans cannot. Another that comes to mind is the sound a person can hear in meditation. In fact, when there is high level
anticipation in the breathing phase of getting quiet one can hear the sounds of the heart beating wildly. As we continue to breathe deeply and slowly the heart calms down and we are invited to listen for our very own sound. As we become familiar with our own sound, we can know how we feel from the inside out.
Every species in creation has their own special sound unique to them. When we truly listen the specie communicates how they are doing and what perhaps you can do for them. Likewise, you can understand at a deeper level
what they are doing for you.
The sounds of Thanksgiving are words such as happiness, joy, sharing and togetherness. What they do they sound like? Happiness sounds like music to your ears. Joy sounds like prayer words…”at your right hand is joy
forever more”. Sharing sounds like community. Togetherness sounds like oneness.
The sounds of Thanksgiving are the sounds you decide to give this blessed time of the year. Whether you are by yourself or with a crowd your special sound joins with all sounds in the Universe in celebration. What will it
be?
Blessings
