In the month of March 2021, the world has been made to reflect on family, ancestry and what is important because of The Great Pause that began one year ago 2020 in ways no one ever dreamed.
Ancestry has always been important in a person’s life. Who is not curious about, where did they come from, who are the people they are connected to generations before? Finding out more about one’s ancestry has become more
important as many families can no longer take for granted mother, father, grandparents being around for the usual four score and 10 years.
While appreciation for current generations is important, this Pause has lit a desire for a more intimate knowledge of the spiritual dimension of life. Have you ever given thought to your religious/spiritual
ancestry?
Take a moment to create a timeline as to when you first became spiritually curious. Was it as a child, teenager or as an adult? Perhaps questions of the Spirit came during a critical time in your life. Or, for so
many it is happening now because of The Great Pause. As you create your timeline, what affected your initial curiosity for more or less involvement in pursuing a spiritual path for yourself?
Whichever road you decided to take that become the road map of your spiritual ancestry. Your spiritual ancestry. Genuine spiritual pursuits begin and end with God (or whatever name you choose). That source is
universal and everywhere present. It is at the core of every created form. It is the core of you. In Spirit there is no “different” parent or “different” culture or “different” race. Spirit is our parent, sometimes called “Father”, our culture, “spiritual community”, our race, “human race”.
Comments are welcomed.
