GOSPELGRAM: April 2021 #1
RISE UP!
Everywhere you look there is evidence of nature beginning to RISE UP!
This time of the year nature cries out to stretch itself with green shoots of grass, flowers that are perennial, and animals wake up from a long winter’s rest.
2021 has a unique reason for rising up. The Great Pause that has occurred because of the pandemic, from a medical perspective has begun to lift the shadow of isolation and fear of being close to another person. In
addition, this time of the year welcomes Easter, as the religious community commemorates the Jesus’ Resurrection from the dead. It comes at a perfect time to reflect on what it means to RISE UP!
Easter signals that a great portion of the world stops and takes notice of an intervention into the affairs of men that cannot be simply explained with a “Oh yea” and continue on as though nothing has happened. This is the RISE
UP challenge that out paces all other kinds of rising up!
Whether or not you believe that Jesus rose from the dead is not the point. What is the point is whether or not you believe in the resurrection principle? We see that nature has a resurrection principle at work from one
season to another. Every spring an order in the life principle does “its thing” and the resurrection principle takes over.
If there is an orderly principle in life that comes every season without fail surely there is a grand possibility that mankind created by the same source that created nature has this resurrection principle in them.
What a wonderful thought to behold. I have the capacity to RISE UP! What, would it take to believe that the resurrection principle in life means all of life, not just nature?
Blessings.
