Fall for it!
We live in a world of misinformation because there is an overload of information around the clock. When one part of the world is sleeping having gone to bed filled with information that must be sorted out one way or the other,
you may be waking up to hearing new information after not having time to decide what is true or not from the day before.
Constant exposure to information and what to do with it is part and parcel of living in the information age.
We cannot control the numerous ways information is being created or the rate at which it is being broadcasted, or the kinds of mechanisms being used to reach a variety of populations. We can however decide what our personal
response can be.
Truth as practiced by Unity can offer a full proof way of handling information that is constant. The affirmation is, “You cannot always, control what happens to you but, you can control what happens in you”. First, give
the amount of information you receive the “inner response test”. If you feel stressed, limit your news outlets to just one that you trust that doesn’t demand a lot of your time like TV. Decide whether a news source honors the positive side of your nature or the opposite? Doing at least these two action steps can go along way in helping you control the news information cycle.
Let this “Fall” season be an example of what you can do that nature does naturally. Trees and hedges let go leaves that no longer need them. They let the leaves “fall” into a new way of being. The trees and hedges
prepare themselves for a brand new expression as the season changes from autumn, to winter, to spring, to summer and back again to autumn.
